The round started with an absolutely wild game on Wednesday with Sydney missing key personnel, leading to Tiana Mangakahia picking up the slack, but Lauren Jackson and Southside did enough at the end to win 96-91. Megan McKay led Bendigo past Canberra 86-74 on Thursday. On Friday, Karlie Samuelson and Tianna Hawkins fired Townsville past Adelaide 92-63. On Saturday, it was Keely Froling’s turn to try to lead Sydney, but they lost to Perth 87-68. Kayla Thornton and Maddison Rocci lifted Southside past Canberra 97-81. Sunday’s game was a good one as Melbourne had the advantage for the first half with Cayla George and Tiffany Mitchell leading the way, but Bendigo rallied late to leave with an 81-76 win.
