Overseas League Updates April 5th

EuroCup Finals Game 1

Even though neither team was among the strongest in the regular season, the rosters that both assembled did not make it a surprise that either made it to this final series. As the 19 seed, Lyon hosted the first game and Marine Johannes and Gabby Williams may have given them an insurmountable lead as 13 seed Galatasaray will try to cut into a 95-56 deficit next week in Istanbul.

Polish League Finals Game 1

Both medal series started on Wednesday and Gorzow got Alanna Smith and two other starters back alongside Lindsay Allen, but it was almost not enough in an 89-85 win over Jessica January, Quinn Dornstauder, and Zaglebie Sosnowiec, which must now win at home on Tuesday to extend their season. The finals opened with back-to-back games scheduled in Polkowice and Sparkle Taylor and Lublin struck early again on the road with a 77-70 win.
