The consolation bracket finished play on Friday. Jannon Otto led Uganda to an easy 85-44 win over Masseny Kaba and Guinea for 7th place. Jessica Thomas also had another big effort as the naturalized player, but Cameroon lost to Mozambique 74-65 in the 5th place game. The bronze medal game was played first on Saturday and Mali bounced back from disappointment with an 89-51 win over Rwanda. The championship game was a repeat of two of the last three finals and despite all that had happened to the team since the last tournament, Nigeria did enough when it counted and defeated Senegal 84-74 to win their fourth consecutive trophy.
