It was the second day of games with the rest of the teams making their debuts and their opponents finishing up group play. The Democratic Republic of Congo is the bottom team in Group D as Mariana Muadi had a good game, but Nadine Soliman helped Egypt control the final quarter to win 89-78. Leia Dongue helped Mozambique even their record in Group B with a 99-40 win over Guinea. Senegal was looking to return to the medal stand, getting a good game from Aya Traore alongside the recently naturalized Cierra Dillard, but Uganda was able to finish their Group C play with a win behind Jane Asinde and their own naturalized player Jannon Otto. Angola was the last team to make their debut, but could not complete a comeback in Group A, falling to Djefarima Diawara and Ivory Coast 72-69 to help their opponents bounce back from a tough opener.
